Established in 1996 by Gerry Horan, following his 15 years experience in the packaging industry, Montip’s first vocation was the rebuilding and upgrading of packaging machinery. Working closely with clients in the food, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries among others, we soon recognised the opportunities that lay in evolving towards total system design, and especially robotics.

In the 12 years since the company has existed, Montip has become a trusted partner of many large companies as they modernise and automate their workflows to increase productivity and address health and safety concerns in the workplace. With an annual turnover of over €1,000,000 , and a 4,000 sq ft custom-built workshop in Gerry’s home town of Drangan, Co. Tipperary, Montip will continue to lead the field in providing Irish-designed automation solutions to Irish clients.
